You Can Experience the Miraculous

I want to make a point regarding what we have covered thus far. You must be willing to think outside the box and recognize the powerful truth of God’s Word.
The 35 miracles of Yeshua recorded in Scripture are just a small sampling. Every sign and every wonder that He did, you are called to do. Take all of Hollywood’s action heroes and put all of them together into one — it doesn’t come close to the reality of your ability when you begin to recognize the Messiah in you, Almighty God. The Bible says, “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.” You have an almighty, all powerful, unlimited, all knowing God living and abiding in you. That represents your potential in the Kingdom of God.
When Paul came into the local communities, he didn’t come in with persuasive speech. He came with a demonstration of the power of God. When you go to your grocery store, when you go to the malls, when you go to work, people should see the Messiah, the anointing operating through a real person. By correct understanding we can help it come alive.
A couple of years ago, God dropped a word in my heart. He said to me, “If you want to do what Yeshua did, then do what Yeshua did.” Yeshua had a life of prayer, fasting and self-denial.
It is important that you understand the nature of God, the character of God, which finds expression through the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, kindness…). It is true the fruit of the Spirit isn’t nearly as exciting as the gifts of the Spirit. But through recognizing the fruit you can make sure the nature of God, the character of God, the ways of God do not fall by the wayside as you operate in the supernatural.
We want to establish our baseline and understand the guiding principles of the will of God, the heart and nature of God. Then we can apply the power of God with confidence. I used to say miracles were God operating outside the boundaries of the laws that we’re familiar with, or outside the boundaries of nature. How else can you explain walking on water? But it is only impossible if you don’t understand the laws of creation and how things work and how things are made. As you look at a piece of furniture it looks like it has substance. A table looks like it has substance, but really it is far more spacious because of molecular structure. It is all energy that’s vibrating; resonating at different frequencies that are holding it together.
When you begin to understand this, you recognize the laws of creation are what God works with. Everything He does, He does within laws. For example, the law of gravity. If I take my Bible and I let it go, the law of gravity says it going to go to the ground, right? So by the Word and the Spirit, God reveals laws. People over the course of time have discovered different laws of natural design. If I lift the Bible up with my hand, we have the law of lift. The law of lift will override the law of gravity. So with the law of lift, if I take something like a wing or a plane and I move it along fast enough what happens is the law of lift says it is going to go up. Orville and Wilbur Wright showed us this in 1903. Natural law revelation allowed man to reach new heights. But what was really happening was, God gave them the invention. God gave man the revelation to reach new heights.
Here’s the point. The revelation of the Word of the principles of God’s truth is allowing us to walk at a higher level. It is amazing how much science today is confirming the truth of God’s Word. Science now shows us principles and precepts, as an example, calling those things that be not as though they are. We actually see now when we look at quantum physics that the observer of an experiment affects the experiment. We affect the world that we’re living in. How? By what’s in your heart, and more significantly, what comes out of your mouth. Principles and precepts—God showed us all the way back from the beginning of time with Adam and Eve up until now. “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” We need to recognize that God really is giving us the ability to get out of the fish tank; to get out of the limiting world that we have lived in that has held us captive. It is time to break out and step into the fullness of life in the supernatural, operating with the power of God, the gifts of the Holy Spirit. So when you understand the nature and the character of God and realize that He doesn’t break laws, He always works within the laws of creation—that is how we go to new levels and new heights.
You need to have the foundation because when you start operating in the realm of the supernatural, there is a very real devil out there that will deceive as many people as he can. And he transforms himself into an angel of light. That is why you need a firm foundation with the Word of God. God reveals what we need at specific times to reach new levels in the Spirit and accomplish His will on the earth. Not your will but His will be done.
Let’s look at what the will of God is because it is significant to recognize faith begins where the will of God is known. So for you to get out of the tank, the limited environment that you’ve lived in and go into the bigness of God’s sea with unlimited ability and no boundaries, you have to have the foundation. What is God’s will? If you know God’s will then you can operate in faith and that is what we want to do. It is your foundation for the operation of the gifts of the Spirit.
So, what is God’s will? Number one: to do what Yeshua did and greater. Then, to have a life and have it more abundantly. That is what Yeshua said in John 10:10, “I come that you might have life and have it more abundantly” and that God’s will be done on earth. The Lord’s Prayer says, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”(Matthew 6:10). Everything Yeshua did was not because He was God, because if He did one miracle because He was God, then you and I could never do what He did because we’re not God. He did everything that He did because of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, because He was filled with the Holy Spirit. Even though He was God, He did no miracles because of His power as God.
Next, God wants us to have dominion on the earth and to reign in life. When you know His will, then you can begin to operate at a higher level. And finally, from Paul’s letter to Timothy, and also the apostle Peter, God is not willing that any should perish. His will is for all men to get saved.
That’s why Yeshua came as the Messiah. John 3:16 says, “whoever believes in Him will have everlasting life.” His will is that people don’t go to hell. His will is that people go to heaven and one of the ways that you are going to rescue people out of the New Age and out of the occult is by the demonstration of the gifts of the Spirit. Through the operation of the supernatural you are going to win people to Messiah. Again, operating in faith begins where the will of God is known.
For a moment, let’s consider some key ingredients in the life of Yeshua. Yeshua had a life of prayer, fasting and self-denial. If you really want to step into the fullness of what God has for you, you have to emulate the life of Yeshua. Put your time into prayer, praying in your known language and praying in the Spirit. Everyday write down on a piece of paper what you are going to fast that day. What are you going to deny yourself? One day it might be food. The next day it might be Facebook. The next day it might be coffee. The next day it might be watching television. What’s important is you develop a behavior of self-denial. That’s what Yeshua did. He had a life of self-denial. Yeshua said in Matthew 16, “If any man is going to be my disciple, he must deny himself, take up his cross and follow Me.”
Let’s think about what it means to have life more abundantly. This comes from John 10:10, “The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy,” but Yeshua says, “I come that you might have life and that you might have it more abundantly.” God opened this verse for me and showed me the Greek word for more abundant, which is “perissos.” It means to go beyond, superior in quality, superabundant in quantity, by implication excessive. How do we do this? God said to me, “You have to change the way you believe.” There are only two ways you can change. One is by emotional implantation. That is where you have an experience. And the other is by repetition, which is why the Bible puts so much importance on renewing of the mind, meditating on the Word. How often? Day and night. But let’s say you grow up in a society, a culture that taught you “fire’s not hot.” At some point you are going to touch the fire, and what happens? Ouch, I burned myself! Your belief system just got changed by experience. Science would call it “emotional implantation.” Now the soft tissues of your mind will forever process the reality, fire is hot. Someone once said, “A man with an experience is not at the mercy of a man with an argument.” Once you experience God, once you experience the reality of signs, wonders, miracles and the gifts of the Spirit, you’ll never be talked out of it. You will know reality.
At the very first miracle that Yeshua did (turning water into wine), his mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says, do it.” And the Spirit of God is telling me to tell you right now: The beginning of the working of miracles has been released to you in a greater measure. Listen to what God is saying. Whatever He says, do it. And as you are obedient to do what He says, you are going to have great stories to share because I promise you, you have just crossed something in the realm of the Spirit and the best is about to begin, for His glory.
