So now you want to know how to know this Jesus. How you can have your own intimacy with God. The Torah says, ‘Your sins have separated you from your God.’ And as a result of this separation from God you have to remove your sins so that you can be united with God. When you receive Jesus the first thing you have to do is to tell God you’re sorry. You have to say, “I’m sorry.” You see God loves you so very much. But your sins are preventing you from receiving His love. That’s why you have to repent. Tell God that you’re sorry for your sins. You say, “Well, I haven’t sinned.” Have you ever lied? Have you ever stolen? Have you ever had sex outside of marriage? Have you ever been involved with pornography? Are you addicted to drugs? Have you been party to abortion? Do you use the Lord’s name in vain?
There’s none righteous, the Torah says. There’s none righteous, no not one. Now tell God, not me, tell God that you’re sorry for your sins. And tell Him you believe that the Blood of Yeshua, Jesus, washes away your sins, separates the sins from you. And because they are now on Yeshua, and His Blood just washes away those sins and He remembers them no more. That’s the new covenant. That’s the good news. God remembers your sins no more. Now that you’re clean, God can live inside of you. Invite Jesus to live in you, be Lord of your life, be real. And now you’ve got to grow.
Now if you went to a gym you grow by lifting weights. You get big muscles. Well, your spirit is the only part of you that is created in God’s image. And your spirit needs food just like your body. And the Bible, the scriptures, are spirit-food. Read the scriptures. And by the way, do it the Jewish way, read the scriptures out loud. Because Joshua said, ‘If you will meditate on,’ and in Hebrew that means to mumble or mutter out loud, ‘God’s word day and night you will be a like a tree planted by the rivers and nothing, nothing can separate you from God.’
And if God is for you, nothing that comes against you can survive. When you receive Jesus, this is what He says. You become as righteous as Jesus. As righteous as Jesus is in God’s sight. Nothing separating you from God. It’s so wonderful. Say this prayer with me out loud. It’s important to say it out loud.
Dear God, come on now. Say it out loud with me right now. Dear God, I’m a sinner. Please forgive me for my sins. With Your help I turn from them. I believe that Jesus died for my sins. And by His Blood, I am forgiven and I’m clean. It’s so good to be clean. It’s so good to be right with God. And now that I am clean, Yeshua, would you live inside of me? Talk to me? Teach me about Your Kingdom? I want to follow You. Amen.
If you said that prayer and you meant it great changes are going to happen. Start reading the scriptures. Start with the Brit ha’ da’ cha, the new covenant. It explains how the Kingdom of God operates. You see, what is real is not what you see with your eyes. That’s just temporary. For instance if you looked at an atom you’d see space between these atoms and they’re moving all around. Yet the piece of furniture you’re looking at it’s solid. But it’s not really solid if you could see these atoms. It’s not what you see with your natural eyes. But the Bible tells you how God’s Kingdom operates. A Kingdom that you can’t see with your natural eyes. So start lifting your weights. Get those spiritual muscles going. Let me be your coach!
