Day 32 – Tribulation
JOHN 16:32-33
But a time is coming, and has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home. You will leave Me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for My Father is with Me. I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world (John 16:32-33).
As much protection as God gives His children, there is no way to avoid the tribulation that comes from living in this world. Jesus doesn’t tell us that our walk with Him is always safe. Instead, He tells us that He has overcome every battle that we ever have faced or ever will face. The Lord is telling us that having faith in Him means we can defeat every enemy. Glory!

- Is it difficult for you to put your faith in God?
- Why would God allow the world to have so much suffering?
- Is it necessary for us to overcome the world?
JOB 40:2-5
“Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct Him? Let him who accuses God answer Him!”
Then Job answered the Lord:“I am unworthy—how can I reply to You? I put my hand over my mouth. I spoke once, but I have no answer—twice, but I will say no more” (Job 40:2-5).
Job knew it was futile trying to argue with the one who has every answer. Job was afflicted. Everything that Job valued was taken away. The Lord knows why we have trouble. He has allowed our troubles for a purpose higher than we can contemplate. Anyone who has disagreed with God soon discovers that there is no winning such an argument.

- What is the benefit of arguing?
- Are you willing to accept an answer that disagrees with your own?
- Aren’t there times when you must correct a loved one? Or a foe?
